Primož Roglič Foundation Returns to Support the BMX Race in Maribor

The domestic BMX racing season kicked off in Maribor last weekend. The races held on Saturday and Sunday also counted as the third and fourth rounds of the regional Alpe Adria Cup, bringing around one hundred riders from four countries to the Styrian capital. The event was organized by the local club BSX Racing Team Maribor, which has been one of the key driving forces behind the development of BMX in Slovenia for many years. The event took place in a great atmosphere, with ideal racing weather and strong support from the fans along the track. For the fourth consecutive year, the Primož Roglič Foundation supported the event as one of the race partners. By supporting events like this, the Foundation continues its mission of encouraging young athletes, developing the cycling environment, and creating opportunities where children and young people can build confidence, perseverance, and a love of movement through sport. A special mark on the event was also made by the performance of Mak Breznik Falk, ambassador of the Primož Roglič Foundation. Competing in the elite 17+ category, Mak delivered determined and mature rides on both race days. On Saturday, after a tight battle, he finished third, while on Sunday he went one step higher and ended the race in an excellent second place. His performances are a strong example of the values the Foundation aims to pass on to young athletes: perseverance, dedication, competitiveness, and respect for sport. The strong results of local riders confirm that BMX in Slovenia is growing, while also highlighting how important it is for young athletes to have access to quality competitions, proper infrastructure, and an encouraging environment. At the Primož Roglič Foundation, we are proud to be part of events that give young cyclists their first racing experiences, help develop their sporting spirit, and support them as they take steps toward new goals.
