Better late than never – Vélo d’or 2020

Three years ago, Primož completed an exceptional season by winning the Tour of Spain, second place in the Tour de France, Liège – Bastogne – Liège monument and other races and won the prestigious Vélo d’Or (golden bike) award for 2020. At that time the award ceremony wasn’t held due to the pandemic, so he received the prize at the traditional BeKing criterium in Monaco.

Upon receiving the award, Primož joked: “Better late than never, I already had to check what year we are”.
