Primož was the first to cross the finish line on the Lo Port slope and became the winner of the 5th stage of the Race across Catalonia. Remco Evenepoel finished second, six seconds behind, while Joao Almeida won third place.

“For the first time this week, I went uphill with confidence. It’s going great, I’m really very happy with how the stage unfolded. In the first stage, I said that 300 or 500m of climbing was enough. This climb was a bit longer, but I’m getting better,” said Roglič and added: “It will be difficult until the very end, we have two more challenging stages ahead of us. Not so much tomorrow’s, but certainly Sunday’s.”
