Primož Roglič Foundation once again supports the Kids Tour of Slovenia with the polka dot jersey

The eighth edition of the Kids Tour of Slovenia, one of the most important international cycling events for young riders in Slovenia, took place in the Dolenjska region. The event, organised by the Novo mesto Cycling Club, was once again supported by the Primož Roglič Foundation.

Over the past few days, the Kids Tour of Slovenia once again brought together young cyclists from across Europe. A total of 450 young riders from 19 countries competed over four stages in three days on courses in Novo mesto, Kostanjevica na Krki and Šentjernej.

One of the event’s special features is the variety of race formats. The young cyclists competed in several disciplines, including an individual time trial and a criterium, gaining valuable experience for their future sporting careers.

The Primož Roglič Foundation was once again present through the polka dot jersey awarded to the best climber, giving the young riders extra motivation on the climbs.

“When we started in 2018 with 200 young cyclists, we could hardly have imagined where this journey would take us. Today, with 450 participants, we see that we are not only building an event, but a community. A community of courage, perseverance and passion for cycling,” said Kids Tour of Slovenia Director Srečko Glivar after the race.

The Kids Tour of Slovenia is a story that grows with every smile, every kilometre ridden and every new friendship. That is why it remains an important part of the future of cycling and a project worth supporting. The Foundation is proud to support an event that opens the door to the world of cycling for young people and gives them the opportunity to experience their first major sporting moments in an environment that encourages courage, respect and the joy of being active.
